The building of Hotel Grand Canal was once the city prison of Delft and the iron bars in the basement are a silent reminder to its history. In earlier times, the V.O.C. (Dutch trading company) used the building to store goods. Today this beautiful canal house has been fully restored to meet the demands of the modern traveller. The hotel’s central location, near to museums and canals makes it the ideal base from which to explore the city of Delft.
